Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Sheet Metal Technician with a minimum of 5 years of direct aerospace experience . The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with aircraft sheet metal fabrication and assembly, combined with a strong knowledge of industry standards and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate, repair, and modify aerospace structures and parts using sheet metal techniques including cutting, bending, forming, contouring, riveting, and countersinking. Assemble and maintain aerospace components in accordance with engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications. Conduct inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality standards and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) compliance. Operate hand and power tools commonly used in sheet metal fabrication, with precision and safety. Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve fabrication and assembly issues. Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measuring tools for quality assurance (preferred). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following OSHA and internal safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of aerospace sheet metal fabrication and repair experience. Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and aviation standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Skilled in precision sheet metal work including riveting, countersinking, and forming. Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on technical issues. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Aerospace Sheet Metal Technology or Aircraft Structures (not required but a plus). Experience working with composite structures and advanced aerospace materials. Familiarity with CNC sheet metal equipment and computer-aided manufacturing tools. Proficiency operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precision inspections.
