We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in commercial and residential roofing systems. Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut and bend sheet metal. Install metal roofing panels and components. Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as gravel stops, eave drip, coping cap, line jacks, gutter/downspout, counter flashing, scuppers, expansion joints, and drainpipes. Determine material or tool requirements. Secure metal panels in place then interlock and fasten grooved panel edges. Maneuver completed units into position for installation and anchor the units. Adherence to safety procedures is required. Knowledge of using hand and power tools Set up production equipment or machinery. Fasten seams and joints together.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in a roofing or construction environment Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints Proficiency in operating sheet metal equipment Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations Valid driver’s license Knowledge of using hand and power tools
