The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components according to specifications and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, ductwork, and sheet metal fabrication. The Fitter will work closely with other team members to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of metal components. Build and fabricate ductwork and other sheet metal products as per project requirements. Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) to join metal parts securely. Rig materials and components for safe handling during assembly processes. Conduct pipe threading operations as needed for various projects. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout the fabrication process. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes. Skills Proficient in welding techniques, particularly FCAW, with a strong understanding of safety practices. Experience in building and fabricating ductwork and sheet metal products. Familiarity with machining processes related to metal fabrication. Knowledge of rigging techniques for handling heavy materials safely. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
