Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking experienced Ductwork/Sheet Metal Mechanics for work in the Gulf Breeze, Florida area. This is for ongoing commercial projects and these positions are temp to permanent for the right candidates.
Sheet Metal Mechanics:
$22 – $26/hr. depending on experience No per diem is offered. Weekly pay. Schedule is Monday thru Friday working day shifts.
Job Duties:
Fabricate, assemble, install, and hang sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings.
Section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work / systems, reading and interpreting blueprints of large chillers, specialized package units and also understanding electrical components such as lighting, panel boxes and building automation.
Field fabricate, install and hang ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures.
You will also help repair existing systems, test and examine systems for quality and make plans and material estimates for each project.
Job Requirements:
Should have at least 2 years of sheet metal/ductwork experienceFamiliarity with HVAC wiring diagramsAbility to handle physical workloadStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsWill need to have appropriate basic hand tools, all PPE and reliable transportation to get to the job site.
