ELRO Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and honest Second Shift Lead Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the following areas:
Shearing:
Ability to operate shearing equipment to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions.
Folding:
Proficiency in folding techniques to create bends in sheet metal as per design requirements.
Press Brake Operation:
Experience in setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal.
Quality Control:
Ensure material and dimensional accuracy according to specifications, with meticulous documentation.
Safety:
Adherence to strict safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment.
Laser Operation:
Experience or quick learner in laser cutting processes (desirable).
CNC Router Operation:
Experience or quick learner in CNC router operations (desirable).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the second shift team in executing sheet metal fabrication tasks efficiently and effectively. Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Conduct regular quality inspections and document results. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication processes. Train and mentor team members on fabrication techniques and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and management. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in metal fabrication are a plus.
