Solar Technician 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Gainestown, AL 36540 Utility Scale Solar Technician Full Time Level 1 and Level 2 Field Technician Positions Open! Gainestown, AL At least 6 months of years of Utility solar electrical experience. Electrical background. Pay is dependent on candidates experience (Typically $24-$36+/hr)
Ideal Experience:
O&M troubleshooting, onsite diagnosis, assessing issues and completing repairs, commissioning, locating ground faults, inverter work, etc. Reporting to the same utility site daily. Substation & BESS (battery storage) experience is preferred but not required Extensive benefits like: Health Insurance + 401k & More! Responsibilities Support Commissioning Inverter work Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC’s) Power Conversion Stations (PCS) Ring Main Units (RMU’s) / Switchgear Transformers Solar Electrical (Ground Faults) SCADA and networking devices Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees Complete work order documentation in a timely matter Ensure inventory of spare parts is accurate Perform proper LOTO and switching procedures as required Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies
Qualifications and Experience:
Solar electrical experience & Minimum 6 months+ of relevant work experience in renewable energy OSHA 30 Certified
OR OSHA 10
would be a plus Previous training and knowledge of inverters is ideal SCADA experience will be beneficial Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an asset Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel) Previous experience with a CMMS software program preferred Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record within past 3 years.
