service technician : The Service Technician provides solutions and resolves client issues through troubleshooting and analyzing concerns to support Seal Solar’s service crews. The role’s responsibilities are related to client management, problem solving, and schedule management. The Service Technician provides technical and problem-solving support to both residential and commercial projects.

Troubleshoot solar system issues including, but not limited to, inverters, optimizers, isolation faults, string issues, and communication. Document and track all site visits. Communicate effectively to management and clients. Responsible for service support to both residential and commercial sites. Promptly respond to client and customer phone calls, texts, and emails regarding issues clients are facing. Monitor systems and identify issues to ensure they are working properly. Ship warrantied components and parts back to the manufacturer once replacements are received. Identify billing issues, reach out to utility vendors, and help clients resolve billing issues.

Position requirements:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. One year of work experience in a Solar Installation, Solar Service Technician, or similar role is preferred. Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) 30 and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E certifications are preferred. A North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Photovoltaic Associate (NABCEP PVA) credential is beneficial.
