Solar Installer Professional Electrical Services, Inc. (PES Solar) Umatilla, FL Job description PES Solar is a family-owned and operated company seeking experienced solar installers to join our team! You will be part of a crew that is responsible for installing residential and commercial solar systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who has prior solar installation experience. Our ideal installer is hard-working, takes pride in their work, a strong team player and enjoys being challenged. PES Solar covers the entire State of Florida. There will be traveling, per diem and hotels provided. Vehicles are provided to jobsites.
JOB DUTIES
- Installing racking systems per manufacturer’s specifications and PES Solar plans per different residential and commercial roof types.
- Installing DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes.
- Commissioning PV systems safely.
- Testing system components while the system is operational.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by Crew Lead and/or Regional Operations Managers
QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid driver’s license with a clean MVR is required to drive a company vehicle.
- Residential solar installation experience required
- Electrical experience strongly recommended.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of residential local electrical codes
- Knowledge of residential PV Design and components
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics and electrical instructions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders.
- Ability to lift 50 -75+ lbs. routinely
- Ability to bend, stretch, squat and lift
