We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Solar Installer / Foreman to join our growing team. This individual will perform solar repairs and inspections on their own and run a crew of solar installers for larger removal and reinstall (R&R) projects. Our company is based out of Clearwater, FL, but we strongly encourage anyone state-wide in Florida to apply as we are expanding to locations in all areas of the state.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise rooftop solar installation crews, ensuring efficient and high-quality work. Interpret and execute project plans, layouts, and specifications. Serve as the on-site point of contact between project managers and installation teams. Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements. Conduct site visits to assess project readiness and troubleshoot performance or installation issues. Perform system diagnostics and small-scale repairs independently. Train and mentor junior installers, fostering a collaborative and professional team culture. Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are prepared and organized for daily operations. Complete required documentation including job logs, safety checklists, and installation records.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in residential or commercial solar installation. Proven experience managing or leading teams on active job sites. Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, and racking systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Comfortable working at heights and on various roof types. Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
NABCEP certification a plus. Experience with solar battery storage systems. Familiarity with solar permitting and inspection processes. Spanish language skills a plus.
