Roof Junior The Company PlugPV is a turn-key residential and commercial solar energy provider. We are a small, high impact team dedicated to the deployment of solar electric systems for homeowners and small businesses. The Company is the result of years of experience in the national solar space, with renewed focus on regional operating efficiencies at the local community level. PlugPV is fun! We are excited to work together with one another, with industry stakeholders, and with customers to educate, promote, design, sell, install, and service residential and commercial solar. We are data driven, action oriented, creative thinkers looking to accomplish our goal! The Position The Roof Junior is a mission critical role within the organization. This individual is responsible for roof component installation. The solar installation process is fast-paced and ever-changing. This person will coordinate with the Roof Senior or the Roof Lead onsite to bring materials to the roof, aid in layout and marking of array locations, install roof mounting components, aid in the wiring of the array(s), and install solar modules. This person will also be responsible for adhering to Company safety policies, and ensuring tools, equipment, materials, and work areas are clean and organized at all times. In addition, this individual can expect to cross-train in senior and lead roles on the roof, as well as junior and introductory electrical roles as applicable. The Responsibilities Aid in the preparation of job materials, crew members, and equipment Work with crew members to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of all Company safety protocols Deploy with the installation crew to each installation Aid in the staging of materials Perform rooftop array layout activities Install DC System components in accordance with plans and manufacturers’ specifications Aid in the completion of all closeout and commissioning tasks Cross-train and perform in roles above and below your station from time to time Additional duties as needed Qualifications Six (6) months experience in the solar industry or NABCEP Entry Level Course Completion preferred Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold) and capable of lifting 50 LBS Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, and work on rooftops Excellent customer service and communication skills Must be a self-starter with a natural sense of urgency and motivation to succeed Must have a valid state driver’s license and the ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
