Chroma Energy Group provides preliminary engineering, material procurement, and turnkey construction services for a wide range of solar photovoltaic (PV) array installations to utility companies, government agencies, private developers, and businesses. With a focus on excellence in design, analysis, and optimization, we strive to push the boundaries of renewable energy and create impactful solutions that drive our clients’ success. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols, ensuring that installations are performed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine installation requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various construction environments. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations. Conduct system testing using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to ensure proper functionality. Ensure that manufacturer’s installation instructions are followed precisely. Adhere to Chroma’s Standard Work Instruction (SWI).

Details are important:

racking must be installed within specific tolerances. Fasteners must be tightened to the correct torque. Modules must be properly aligned and handled carefully to prevent damage. Quality is our second priority. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Leadership/management:

lead by example, communicate effectively, and be able to look ahead at what needs to happen. All three are required to make sure jobsites flow seamlessly and stay on schedule. Qualifications Experience in electrical work, particularly with low voltage and high voltage systems, is preferred. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters. Ability to read and understand schematics related to solar energy systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to work on rooftops and in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
