Tile layer all construction manufacturing companies Orlando, FL 32832 Overview We are seeking a skilled Tile Layer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile installation, with experience in various aspects of masonry and remodeling. This role involves working on commercial projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. The Tile Layer will collaborate with other tradespeople and adhere to project timelines while maintaining safety standards on the job site. Responsibilities Install or repair tile flooring, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications and design plans. Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials. Measure and cut tiles accurately to fit around corners, fixtures, and other obstacles. Mix and apply adhesives or grout as needed for secure tile placement. Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles for a professional finish. Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to coordinate project tasks. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on the construction site. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Skills Proficiency in tile laying techniques and materials. Experience in masonry work, including knowledge of different types of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, etc.). Familiarity with remodeling processes and construction management principles. Basic carpentry skills, including door hanging and framing experience. Understanding of flooring installation methods beyond tile work. Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. Knowledge of electrical considerations related to flooring installations is a plus.
