Job Summary:
As a Storm ShelterInstaller, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety andprotection of our residential and commercial clients against EF-5tornadoes. You will be responsible for the delivery, installation,and maintenance of storm shelters at residential and commerciallocations. You’ll operate heavy equipment, perform physical tasks,and interact with customers and team members to ensure smooth andsafe installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely deliver andinstall storm shelters according to safety protocols and customerrequirements. Prepare installation sites, including excavation forin-ground shelters and laying small and large concrete slabs forabove-ground units. Inspect existing concrete slabs to ensure theymeet installation requirements. Operate trucks, trailers,forklifts, and other equipment for safe transport and installation.
Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including deliveryreceipts and quality checklists. Perform warehouse tasks such asunloading units, inspecting for quality, cleaning, and minorrepairs. Ensure the warehouse remains organized and clean,including light maintenance tasks. Address maintenance and repairneeds for already installed shelters. Provide detailed job reports,including photos and videos, in a timely manner. Follow all safetyguidelines, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Requirements:
Prior experience in construction or a similar field.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in variousweather conditions. Valid driver’s license with a clean record andexperience driving trucks with trailers. Strong communicationskills and a customer-focused attitude. Willingness to workextended hours, travel, and occasionally work weekends. Own basictools and PPE. Reliability, punctuality, and adaptability tochanging tasks.
