Tile Setter Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The Tile Setter will be responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in various settings, including residential, commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in tile installation, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing Apply adhesive to surfaces and lay tiles in a pattern Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels, and squares Grout tiles and clean surfaces to remove excess grout and adhesive Inspect and repair tiles as needed Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Tile Setter Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Knowledge of different types of tiles and their properties Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy tiles and equipment

Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in tile setting is preferred Certification in tile installation is a plus

Working Conditions:

The Tile Setter will work indoors and outdoors, depending on the project. The work may involve standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting for extended periods. The Tile Setter may work in dusty or noisy environments and may be exposed to hazardous materials. Protective gear and equipment will be provided as needed.

$200.00 – $250.00 per day
