Tile Setter Job Description We are seeking an experienced and versatile tile installer responsible for installing tiles on various surfaces such as floors, walls, ceilings, and countertops. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and priming them before tile installation. Measure and mark surfaces accurately, cutting tiles to fit using hand and power tools. Apply adhesives and lay tiles in specified patterns, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Finish by applying grout, cleaning excess materials, and sealing tiles if necessary. Replace broken tiles and perform touch-ups as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with using a tape measure accurately. Knowledge of tile installation and waterproofing techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have experience with reading a tape measure, blueprints, and using hand tools. Why Work Here? The company has 80-120 employees depending on projects but operates with small teams within each build process, including framing, plumbing, electrical, tile, paint, cutting, siding, finish, and cabinet building. Work hours are from 7am to 5:30pm, requiring a 10-hour workday Monday through Thursday. Employees must arrive by 6:50am for a daily crew meeting at 6:55am, with an option for worship at 6:40am. The dress code requires closed-toe work shoes or boots, shirts with sleeves, shorts or pants longer than the tool belt, and prohibits sweatpants, leggings, or athletic wear. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $25.00/hr.
