Executive Director Location:

Bonita Springs, Florida with Satellite office in

Naples, Florida Compensation and Benefits Salary:

Starting salary of $95,000 to $120,000 depending on level of experience.

retirement plan with a matching contribution of up to 3% of your salary o 8 Holidays – 15 PTO days – 1 floating holiday About the Organization The mission of the Florida Lions Eye Clinic (FLLEC) is to provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical eye care that is accessible to underserved individuals in Florida. Our programs will prevent blindness by providing exemplary state-of-the-art eyecare, free of charge, to those individuals in the State of Florida, who do not have health insurance and are at, or below, 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Services provided by (FLLEC) include comprehensive eye exams and medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases, of which diseases include, but are not limited to, retina, cataract, and glaucoma conditions, and if left untreated, can lead to blindness. FLLEC provides services to patients with diverse backgrounds so cultural awareness and sensitivity are a key focus.

Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Donor Stewardship Fundraising Strategy:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to diversify revenue streams. This includes major gifts, grants, events, and individual donor cultivation to ensure financial sustainability.

Financial Management:

Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Ensure the organization maintains prudent fiscal controls. Work with the finance volunteers that produce timely financial reports and maintain transparency with the Board and stakeholders.

Donor Relations:

Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, grant-makers, and community partners. Serve as the primary liaison in major fundraising activities.

Community Engagement:

Represent the organization in the community and media.

Public Engagement & Advocacy Spokesperson & Advocate:

Serve as the chief spokesperson for the Clinic, representing its mission to community members, media, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

Partnership Development:

Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with other nonprofits, healthcare providers, government agencies, funders, and community organizations. Build alliances that support the organization’s goals and enhance its visibility and impact.

Community Outreach:

Lead outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about the organization’s programs and services.

Organizational Management Strategic Planning:

Lead the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plans, aligning programs, funding, and partnerships with the mission. Work closely with the Board to set long-term goals and priorities that advance the clinic’s eye health objectives.

Team Leadership:

Manage and foster a positive workplace culture that encourages professional development, collaboration, and accountability.

Board & Governance Support:

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Board. Prepare Board meeting materials and implement Board decisions.

Qualifications Leadership Experience:

Leadership experience in nonprofit management or a related field. Proven ability to lead teams and to work collaboratively with a Board of Directors.

Fundraising Acumen:

Track record of successful fundraising donor development.

Communication Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, with experience representing an organization publicly. Comfortable speaking with diverse audiences and stakeholders, including community members, partners, and the media.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong interpersonal abilities; adept at building relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and board members. Culturally competent and able to work effectively in diverse environments.

Education:
