Role Overview:

Sterling is seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared VxRail Residency Administrator to manage and optimize Dell VxRail infrastructure. This role involves detailed system administration, proactive problem management, and dynamic change management, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and ensure robust disaster recovery and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
VxRail Residency Administration:
  • Monitor, review, and manage Dell infrastructure as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Handle user requests and manage log files efficiently.
  • Generate operational reports and engage in capacity planning.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and design to ensure system resilience.
Problem Management:
  • Isolate and troubleshoot incidents to maintain system stability.
  • Coordinate service incidents and manage service requests on behalf of the customer.
  • Engage in root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
Change Management:
  • Provide software/firmware management assistance.
  • Implement change management requests to enhance system functionality and security.
  • Assist with documenting solutions, policies, and procedures in collaboration with compliance managers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor migration activities and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
Continual Service Improvement:
  • Recommend procedural changes for operational optimization.
  • Share best practices and provide performance tuning recommendations to enhance system efficiency.
Post Implementation Planning and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Collaborate with customer’s technical leadership to ensure ongoing system optimization.
  • Conduct knowledge transfers regarding new technology features and management practices.
  • Develop and provide Run Books for environment documentation and standard operating procedures.
Change Evaluation and Recommendations:
  • Review and improve IT processes and policies related to incident, capacity, performance, and change management.
  • Conduct knowledge transfers to address skill and resource gaps, providing strategic technology recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

      Certifications:

      Must possess a VCP certificate, Sec+, and be familiar with HCI and VxRail products.

        Experience:

        Proven experience in managing and optimizing VxRail environments, with a strong background in system administration and change management.

          Security Clearance:

          Must hold an active TS/SCI+ clearance.

            Skills:
