Job Title:
Fiber Change Management Analyst
Our client is a leading infrastructure provider in the United States, owning, operating, and leasing a vast portfolio of communication infrastructure. They are currently seeking a Fiber Network Change Management Analyst to manage and coordinate maintenance events within their fiber network, ensuring minimal disruption to their customer base and timely restoration of services.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal and vendor maintenance management.
Assess and approve maintenance events.
Conduct impact analysis, including circuit impact research, assessment, and validation.
Resolve conflicts related to internal and external maintenance and network outages.
Schedule and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
Ensure proactive customer communication and notifications.
Support remote troubleshooting for maintenance progress in the field.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and clear alarms reported by our NMS event logs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Change Management inquiries.
Participate in various record validation projects.
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience with
SONET, IP
protocols and routing, Layer 2 switching, WDM, Dark Fiber services, and OTDR testing.
3-5 years of telecommunications experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Products.
Experience with NMS alarm monitoring and Circuit Inventory Systems like OSP Insight and Nutcracker.
Excellent judgment, concentration, and decision-making skills.
Strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Positive attitude and ability to work in a cross-functional team.
Desired Skills:
2-4 years of related Service Provider experience.
Systems/Certifications:
CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, Network + – preferred.
Experience with Cisco routers and switches, Cisco ONS Lucent DMX Juniper MX and EX series, and MRV. Experience with BGP, IPv6, and or JUNOS is a plus.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
