Charlotte Mechanical Position Summary The Change Management Agent supports successful project execution by managing change throughout the lifecycle of construction or capital improvement projects. This includes initiating, tracking, executing, and closing out change orders; collaborating with general contractors and subcontractors; managing submittals and documentation; and leveraging project management tools and software to ensure operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Change Management Initiate and document proposed changes to scope, schedule, or budget. Track change requests through internal and external review processes. Coordinate the execution of approved change orders. Perform comprehensive closeout procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and communication. Project Management Support Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to implement change efficiently. Create, submit, and monitor submittals through appropriate channels. Assist with scheduling, resource coordination, and milestone tracking. Document and Plan Management Read, interpret, and mark up construction plans and specifications. Maintain and update drawings, ensuring version control and consistency. Coordinate revisions and distribute updated documents to relevant stakeholders. Administrative & Financial Tasks Support invoicing activities, including tracking billable change orders, and verifying subcontractor submissions. Maintain accurate records in project management systems. Technology & Software Use Utilize Procore or equivalent project management software to log and track project documentation. Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in project management or change management within the construction industry. Proficiency in reading and updating plans and specifications . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with Procore or similar project management tools. Experience in submittal preparation, submission, and tracking . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience collaborating with a General Contractor (GC) . Background in invoice processing and construction billing. Knowledge of change management methodologies.
