Job Summary:

The Operations & Business Continuity Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive business continuity program per group guidelines and based on group templates to ensure the resilience and continuity of our operations during unforeseen disruptions. The role will drive all aspects of business continuity, collaborating with senior leaders across our organization to define our recovery objectives, required recovery timelines and priorities. Additionally, this person will leverage knowledge of business processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction within Operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Continuity Partners with leadership team, subject matter experts, and department managers to develop a detailed and comprehensive business continuity plan and strategy. Supports all North America entities in response to natural disasters and other types of business interruptions. Partners closely with IT to ensure a fully integrated view of BC and DR. Performs and evaluates business impact analysis (BIA) in collaboration with all departments. Works closely with department managers to ensure business impact analysis documents are accurate and complete. Performs regular (at least annually) reviews of all materials (BIA, BC Plan, BC Strategy, Task lists, contact lists, etc.) to ensure that all documentation’s quality and accuracy is maintained and in line with company guidelines, as well as regulatory requirements. Interacts with global team to ensure that most recent guidelines and templates are being followed, as well as BC tests executed per the global requirements. Provides BCP training and awareness communication as needed. Partners with Information Security and IT teams to develop and execute BCP-focused tests / exercises (at least annually). May coordinate with 3rd party organizations for test execution. Develops an in-depth understanding of the business processes, assets, facilities, responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and interdependencies. Performs continuous monitoring of program activities to identify areas of opportunity for improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency. Works with executive team to ensure approval of updated plans. Process/Continuous Improvement Develop and conduct audits, maturity assessments, program evaluations and reviews to drive results to ensure change is permanent & delivering cost/capacity savings to the business Facilitates root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot business issues and create process documentation Facilitate continuous improvement with managers and act as an internal consultant, developing short- and long-term strategies for the organization. Facilitate operational efficiencies and reduce costs by reducing workflow inefficiencies Monitor progress to check if changes yield desirable results. Incorporates continuous improvement and establish measurable standards at the start of a project and then compare actual project results, regularly generating detailed update reports for management Develop and deliver workshops or team training, openly sharing guidance and technical expertise and ensuring that learning resources are widely available Evaluate bottlenecks, develop plans to resolve issues, set and monitor performance goals and streamline operations by introducing state-of-the-art continuous improvement methodologies

Requirements:

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in business continuity, emergency management, or disaster recovery Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in lean and/or continuous improvement Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in project management with strong management and execution skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated experience conducting Business Impact Analysis, creating Business Continuity Plans and Strategies Highly experienced in business continuity planning, testing and executing. Adaptable, innovative, and detail oriented. Disciplined to solve complex problems, with the ability to resolve issues and drive solutions that create win-win situations. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 10% travel possible Where you’ll be doing it. This is a hybrid role based out of our Pembroke Pines, FL office. As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2-3 days a week and working from home 2-3 days a week. When you’ll be doing it. While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm).
