Business Analyst – Implementation 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars New Britain, CT We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in New Britain, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a key part in gathering and translating business requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring the seamless execution of payroll system projects. Your expertise in data analysis and testing will be critical to delivering high-quality results that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and document detailed business requirements for payroll system implementations and enhancements. Develop clear and concise functional specifications and use cases based on business needs. Support system design, configuration, and testing phases of payroll-related projects. Create and execute test plans and scripts to validate system functionality and ensure quality standards are met. Conduct various testing activities, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, parallel testing, and end-to-end testing. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure data integrity throughout project implementation and transition phases. Define requirements for reports and dashboards and participate in testing to confirm they meet business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Agile Scrum methodologies and business processes. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on payroll systems and related projects. Proficiency in tools such as Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and business process functions. Ability to perform gap analysis and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Experience with data analysis and reporting, including ensuring data integrity. Familiarity with creating business requirement documents and functional specifications. Solid knowledge of various testing methods, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and end-to-end testing. Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams effectively.
