Position Summary A Strategic Policy Analyst is sought to support Department of Defense missions at
USCENTCOM
in Tampa, FL. This role involves strategic and operational planning, high-level analysis, and coordination with military and civilian partners. Key Responsibilities Identify long-term objectives and strategic plans for military headquarters or major divisions.
Monitor internal and external strategic issues affecting growth, effectiveness, and operations.
Analyze regional and national-level policies impacting military strategy in the
USCENTCOM
Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Develop and maintain strategic and operational plans, including profitability and productivity assessments.
Prepare briefings and strategic documents for senior military and civilian leadership.
Coordinate operational reviews, resource allocations, and organizational structures.
Build and maintain professional relationships to support planning and event synchronization with partner organizations.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or
1+ year with a Master’s degree in a related field, or
7+ years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication.
Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
Clearance:
Must possess and maintain an active TS-SCI clearance.
Writing Sample:
Required.
Compensation Salary Range:
$100K-$150K depending on experience

J5 experience is highly desired, particularly in strategic planning, policy development, and interagency coordination.
Ability to synthesize discussions into strategic documents such as talking points and information papers.
Proficiency in developing briefing materials and strategic communications for senior leadership.
Familiarity with national security documents (e.g., National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, Unified Command Plan).
Strong research and analytical skills.
