- Job Purpose
- Herc Rentals is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our IT Digital Platforms group.
In this role you will support the software development lifecycle, with an emphasis on quality assurance of our digital solutions, with a desire to enhance our business processes and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for technology and business.

Support SDLC:
Support the development of project documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, and use cases. +
Support Quality:
Participate in quality assurance testing (QA) to ensure that solutions meet business needs and requirements. +
Help Troubleshoot:
Assist in tier 2 escalation of issues related to digital platforms and communicate findings to appropriate teams for resolution. +
Research Emergent Technologies:
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance our digital platforms.

Assist in the analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization through digital solutions +
Provide Project Insight:
Conduct data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and track project performance metrics. +
Collaborate Effectively:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, product owners, and business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for digital platform initiatives.
- Requirements
- + 1-5 years of experience working in an IT environment with QA, application development, requirement gathering, and analysis of data + Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret data + Familiarity with business analysis methodologies and tools is a plus + Understanding of digital platforms, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management principles + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with business intelligence tools is a plus •
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
