Business Consultant Tech Army 122 North Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301 The Business Process Consultant will be a critical liaison between the project team and program stakeholders, leading efforts to analyze, redesign, and improve business processes. This role is instrumental in aligning technology solutions with program goals, identifying performance gaps, and integrating business objectives into streamlined workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth systems and process analysis and redesign activities Develop and document new processes to drive efficiency and enhance service delivery Identify performance gaps and propose actionable improvement strategies Serve as a technical expert to program leadership on technology utilization and process improvement Ensure proposed solutions are future-aligned with evolving program goals Assist in business process reengineering activity planning and prioritization Integrate specific business unit goals with broader departmental strategies Clearly communicate and document defined processes for stakeholder understanding and adoption
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience on a year-for-year basis)
Minimum Experience:
7+ years in IT, including 4+ years in process engineering 2+ years in project management
Certifications:
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), Kaizen, or other recognized process improvement methodology
Technical Skills:
Strong capabilities in process mapping and inefficiency analysis Experience with process modeling tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi, ARIS, or BPMN-compliant platforms
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership and the ability to motivate and influence others
