Contract Job Summary:
The Community and State (C&S) Claims Capability Manager will collaborate with Government Operations Claims Business Partners to develop requirement capabilities for moderate to complex claims-impacted initiatives. This role involves defining business needs and wants, working closely with strategic domain capability managers, Architecture Teams, and IT Support to determine Solution Intent. The Capability Manager will oversee the lifecycle of a capability, applying a prioritization framework, and establish lasting relationships with relevant business teams for strategic alignment. Responsibilities include managing capabilities related to defined cost/benefit, business value, and service, and driving engagement with technology or operations to achieve desired business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support capability vision, strategy, priority, and roadmap; engage enterprise-wide stakeholders for awareness and alignment. Demonstrate deep understanding of relevant business and/or product strategies. Define capabilities and accept functionality reviews successfully. Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and groom business requirements, enabling successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of capabilities using a defined development process. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of capability health. Mitigate, manage, and resolve risks and issues associated with capability delivery. Demonstrate awareness of defined business value. Serve as the capability champion, applying expertise to credibly represent, manage, and engage with business and IT stakeholders to achieve business objectives and expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Agile methodology. Experience with Rally and Aha! delivery and roadmap tools. 2 years of experience with development tools, task plans, milestone charts, and status reports. Experience working directly with senior-level business stakeholders. Strong knowledge of executing project deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop strong networks and ensure collaboration and consensus-building. Ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Intermediate or greater proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio. 3+ years of experience in project management/capability management, business analysis, and/or product management, including managing major projects integrating multiple business areas or systems. 2+ years of experience facilitating workgroups. CSP Facets experience. Demonstrated experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and evaluation of business processes. Demonstrated experience in gathering and evaluating requirements and writing and translating business requirements.
