Job Description:

The Planning Support will provide support to the 492 SOW for multi-domain theater engagement, strategic operations, and organizational transitions.

Responsibilities:

Provide research, analysis, and development of Wing-level plans to support Geographic Combatant Commands and Theater Special Operations Commands. Assist with the Wing’s transition to Davis-Monthan AFB and Power Projection Wing alignment.
Draft Planning Orders, executes COOP and Operational Plans, and leads development and execution of hurricane evacuation plans and joint exercises.
Supports cross-functional coordination for equipment and personnel deployments under Global Force Management Allocation.
Programs use of reserve personnel under Military Personnel Appropriations and prepare documentation to support SOCOM requirements, including COOP and MOUs.
Deliver Commander Update Briefs, prepares high-level reports and presentations, conducts senior leadership briefings, manages self-assessment efforts, and provides inputs to the Wing Program Objective Memorandum.
Produce and present inputs for weekly classified Commander’s Update Briefs; submit bi-weekly activity reports; prepare briefings and documentation including Bullet Background Papers, Point Papers, and PowerPoint presentations related to Joint Planning Group and 492 SOW initiatives; and conduct senior leadership briefings as required.
Requirements
Strong background in operational planning, theater engagement strategy, and interagency coordination. Experience developing and executing strategic plans, COOPs, and multi-unit operations.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Minimum 5 years documented experience in Special Operations, including participation in overseas missions. Active Secret Clearance required.
