Monday thru Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Develops relationships with the Credit Union’s business members, as well as cultivates new relationships to increase both personal and business deposits, loans, and profitability.
Responsibilities

  • Cultivates supportive relationships with Credit Union staff to assimilate business products with other core Credit Union products.
  • Meets with business owners, primarily via phone, both current and potential members, to strengthen relationships with the Credit Union including business accounts, personal accounts and accounts for their employees.
  • Promotes Credit Union services and attains sales goals for specific product types as directed by management.
  • Networks with current and potential business select partners, business members, and liaisons to cultivate relationships and increase account per member ratio.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Business Development Officers (BDO’s) to maintain a high quality, competitive Member Business Services program and build a pipeline of business through upward referrals to BDOs, Suncoast Trust and Investment Services, mortgage loan officers, and Suncoast’s insurance, title, and real estate agencies .
  • Manages existing small business portfolio of members with loan relationships of $250,000 or less, including annual reviews, renewals, and line of credit term outs.
  • Manages Credit Union relationships with business owners by providing exceptional personal service for their own accounts and those of their employees.
  • Acts in a cooperative and joint fashion with all Credit Union business units including Suncoast Trust and Investment Services, Service Centers, and Credit Union subsidiaries to increase accounts per member, loans, deposits, and fee income.
  • Works closely with business unit leaders to ensure proper All Team communication and coordination of objectives and results.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise.

Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.
  • 3 or more years of experience in sales and/or business development.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, and build a book of business, as well as pipeline for future opportunities.
  • Good understanding of personal and business financial statements and operational knowledge to analyze the credit worthiness of members at all levels, both personal and business.
  • General understanding of Small Business Administration loans, including origination, processing, and servicing aspects.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to analyze and resolve difficult problems and situations.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
