Genesis10 is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for our clientin the financial services industry. This 5 month Contract positionis located in St. Petersburg, FL. Financial Services domainexperience is required. Open to remote for exceptionally skillmatched candidates. Local candidates are preferred. W2 Hourly Payrate range: $65- $75, depends on skills and experience W2

Description:

Undergeneral supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtainedthrough education, experience and/or, specialized training to serveas a liaison between the business community and the IT organizationto provide solutions to meet user needs. Provides business analysissupport for moderately complex trading workflows, includinganalyzing and documenting existing workflows and validates the sameas we migrate to a new product. May train or lead the work ofothers. Works directly with vendor product development teams toevaluate and recommend solutions. Extensive contact with internalcustomers and external vendors is required to identify, research,and resolve problems.

Responsibilities:

Adheres to establishedstandards and maintains currency in business analysis practices,procedures and techniques. Consults with users to identify,analyze, refine and document business requirements. Follows up withinternal clients about completed tasks to ensure clientsatisfaction. Develops and documents testing strategies for tradingworkflows, creates test scenarios to test/verify vendor productupdates. Develops test plans and scripts and coordinates testtransmissions, as required. Tests software. Provides training andmay lead the work of others, as required. Reviews operationalprocedures and methods; maps current business processes; definesand analyzes business activities; identifies best practices; andrecommends improvements. Serves as a liaison between end users andsoftware development teams, including functioning as a subjectmatter expert (SME) in translating requirements to softwaredevelopment teams. Maintain currency in analyst skills.

Requirements:

The key to this role is prior Financial Servicesdomain experience and understanding of Trading, as the projectinvolves Trading migrations. Need prior Financial Services domainexperience in relation to Regulatory, as well as recent applicableexperience with FIX protocol. Concepts of risk management, issuetracking, change management and requirements gathering. Concepts,practices and procedures analyzing business processes. Investmentconcepts, practices and procedures used in the capital marketsbusiness. This BA role is technical and functional, and FinancialServices domain experience is a must. Need to be able to understandOrder Management Systems, life of an equity order and trade andregulatory aspect of trading. Equity trading workflows Sell sidedomestic and international equity trading business – both in Algospace and Retail OTC trading Middle office trading bunching andallocations Familiar with Client regulatory reporting. Moredetailed awareness of the business context of a technical solution,including specific business goals associated with the project, howthe project will meet the goals, and their own part in advancingthe goals. General financial industry knowledge and knowledge ofsupported business area.

Business Analysis tools:

Microsoft Officesuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Software EngineeringMethodology (SEM) process, Change Management, basic database querylanguage usage, time tracking tools, advanced quality assurance(QA) tool usage for test case development, execution, and defecttracking/issue tracking Creating and interpreting process maps andflowcharts. Preparing various reports, and summaries. Conductingusability testing of software applications.

Ability to:

Ask pointedquestions to verify clear understanding of client issues. Analyze abusiness function and derive a set of requirements to satisfy ageneral request. Take ownership of an aspect or task on a projectwith little to no assistance.

Education:

BS degree or equivalentexperience.

Previous exposure toOrder Management systems (for example: BRASS, Flextrade) ExposureForeign exchange transactions related to cross currency settlementsfor international equity trading.
