The Impact You Will Have The provider partner position develops and maintains long-term, trusted relationships with key strategic provider partners. Key to this role is ensuring the strategy and deliverables for the transition from fee for service to value is advanced through value-based payment models, collaborative initiatives and other key network, product and clinical care model approaches. This position is responsible to support, coordinate and manage all or most aspects of the provider and Blue Cross relationship by leading work cross-functionally, lead the development of recommendations and strategies of how to improve and expand the current or future partnership, and negotiating all aspects of the contractual terms with assigned providers. Your Responsibilities Develops and deepens strong relationships with assigned provider accounts and manages all aspects of the provider relationship. Serves as the primary point of contact through which all Blue Cross stakeholders filter communication, initiatives, and ongoing operational issues with key strategic provider partners. Conversely, serves as the primary Blue Cross liaison through whom all strategic provider partner communication and strategic initiatives flow. Creates, implements and executes annual work plans to support existing or newly assigned strategic provider partners to ensure timely performance of contractual duties. Leads cross-functional teams that help further develop new models of strategic relationship options that can improve the value performance for Blue Cross members by improving quality and patient experience at the most reasonable cost. Identifies and defines business problems, strategies and tactics to provide solutions that provide value to Blue Cross, the provider and Blue Cross members and executes on the solutions. Prepares management and status reports that summarize the status and completion of ongoing contractual duties, management of the provider relationship, and contract negotiations for leadership. Facilitates the negotiation and planning of complex, sensitive high dollar volume key strategic provider contracts in a timely fashion.

Required Skills and Experience:

7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Exhibits strong relationship management skills to develop a deeper and higher level of relationship with our providers. Experience working with Provider Enablement Solutions or Care Delivery Disruptors Demonstrated ability to develop a provider project plan that enables execution and is sometimes ambiguous or complex. Demonstrated ability to work across systems and functions to facilitate innovative solutions and capabilities development. Strong ability to work with diverse internal and external stakeholders to execute on building process and relationships. Displays strong ability to lead cross-functional teams that drives provider strategy development and execution. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills (internal/external). Demonstrated presentation skills Brings innovation, creativity and curiosity in solution development with strong sense of urgency. Positive critical thinker/self-starter. Skillful and diplomatic negotiator, ability to influence internal and external customers. Role Designation Onsite Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite. Compensation and Benefits $115,000.00 – $155,300.00 – $195,600.00 Annual Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
