Senior Advisor I Job Purpose:
The Business Advisor role will support the leader of the Merchant Client Service & Delivery organization. This individual will support regular business reviews to ensure key performance metrics, growth initiatives and improvement plans are accurately represented for senior executive visibility as well as other ad-hoc preparation of executive level presentations, ensuring accuracy of data and quality of materials. They are responsible for supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual budget processes in partnership with the finance team. They will work across the team to support strategic initiatives and will oversee all associate engagement activities, including quarterly town halls and other special events.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the annual budget process in close partnership with the finance team to ensure growth and expense initiatives are accurately planned for and financial objectives are appropriately cascaded across the teams to ensure clear accountability and ongoing tracking and reporting. Support weekly, monthly and quarterly operational business reviews to ensure key performance metrics, growth initiatives, client experience and service performance levels are accurately represented for senior executive visibility. Establish and/or lead management routines that focus on reviewing and improving service performance, client experience, and financial business outcomes. Build tools and routines to enable more efficient communication across all stakeholders, keeping them informed on a timely basis. Leverage reports to analyze data and forecast financial outcomes, as well as to recommend opportunities for improving operational performance. Assist in preparing presentation materials that illustrate business performance for various needs of the business. Help establish the strategic imperatives for the organization, including goal setting, long range planning and key transformational initiatives. Work closely with the leaders to monitor and ensure timely closure of all audit, regulatory and other risks and issues. Represent the entire organization in critical executive level meetings and work with the leader of the function to facilitate sound decision making. Directly or indirectly lead the team’s rotational analyst program, including engagement activities as well as coaching and development.
Required skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2+ years in Merchant Services industry. 5+ years in a Project Management, Finance, Data Analytics or similar roles Prior experience in Strategic Planning, Management Consulting, or Financial Planning & Analysis helpful Strong problem solving and data analytic skills. Strong written and verbal communications Highly organized in their own function and able to coordinate and organize the activities of others. Effective at establishing confidence and trust to build and maintain business relationships. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and change direction in response to business needs. Uses PowerPoint and Excel effectively to present analysis, while translating complex data into simple terms.
