Business Analyst American Packaging I, Inc Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst with strong Quality Assurance (QA) expertise to support and drive the validation process across the software testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing test strategies, creating test scripts and test cases, and supporting the overall QA process from planning to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a QA and validation expert throughout all phases of the software testing lifecycle. Design, develop, and execute test scripts and test cases for complex software modules. Collaborate with technical teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues in test execution. Contribute to documentation of requirements and test design across various testing phases. Provide regular status reports, updates, and completion details to project managers and stakeholders. Support initiatives toward test automation and continuous improvement in QA practices. Willingness to work flexible hours, including after-hours or weekends, to support urgent tasks or deadlines.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
3+ years of experience in QA or business analysis roles supporting testing-related activities. Proven experience in test strategy creation, test planning/design, test execution, defect management, and defect analysis. Strong understanding of how testing aligns with business objectives. Preferred Skills and Experience (Not Mandatory): Experience using JIRA Software or similar tools for test case management. Exposure to test automation tools , such as Selenium , is a strong plus. Familiarity with QA best practices and software quality processes. Experience with reporting and analytics tools. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities efficiently. A degree in Business , Information Technology , or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Business Analyst) are a plus.
