About the Job The Dir, BioPharma Strategic Execution is a key member of the Biopharma Leadership Team (BLT). The role is responsible for overseeing and delivering business-critical strategic initiatives, process improvements, cross-functional integrations, and core business-unit management cycles as a thought partner and operational extension of the Chief Biopharma Business Officer (CBBO). The role collaborates across BioPharma and FMI and is responsible for improving current processes and coordinating organizational procedures to optimize communication, workflows, resource management, efficiency and productivity, streamlining high importance projects and conducting leadership level internal and external initiatives that have a significant impact on the company’s business objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic BioPharma Initiatives Set the priorities for various BLT and BioPharma Team forums (e.g., BLT meetings, Biopharma All Hands, Annual Sales Meetings), ensuring prioritization of strategic imperatives, successful preparation, and organization to drive decision-making. Collaborate on the design and drive the implementation of BioPharma’s strategic plan and related processes. Oversee day-to-day of BioPharma business unit budget in alignment with finance and BLT, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve business unit goals. Serve as a strategic thought partner to the BioPharma Leadership Team, providing expert advice and guidance to effectively navigate the organization and translate ideas into action. Drive implementation of key strategic initiatives, including but not limited to, annual business planning processes (e.g., quarterly business reviews, OKR development, business plan, annual operating plan), and develop mechanisms to measure progress against goals. Partner with CBBO and BLT to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic and/or process initiatives that drive BioPharma to achieve OKRs and business priorities. Move adeptly between functioning at a strategic and operational level, overseeing projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility. Strategic Cross-Functional Leadership Represent BioPharma on key cross-functional initiatives to achieve BioPharma and Corporate OKRs and business priorities. Lead high-profile cross-functional projects that align with FMI and BioPharma strategic priorities, ensuring cross-functional cohesion, alignment, and engagement to achieve business results. Synthesize information and connect dots across the organization to inform BioPharma strategy and improve BioPharma execution. Build and develop relationships with employees on the BioPharma team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness in communication. Strategic Execution Identify and execute key initiatives that translate CBBO vision and BioPharma strategy into action, in line with BioPharma OKRs and business priorities. Ensure pull-through on key actions and decisions stemming from key BLT and BioPharma Team forums. Drive business priorities from start to finish. Execute special projects or initiatives on behalf of the CBBO, in line with the strategic imperatives of BioPharma. Add structure and process for seamless delivery within BioPharma and across other stakeholder teams; ensure activities are running efficiently within and across teams. Ensure BU priorities and strategies are communicated effectively across BioPharma and cross-functional partners, ensuring full alignment across teams. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree 12+ years of professional experience in the life sciences industry 3+ years of experience in a strategy, business operations, or chief of staff role or equivalent leadership capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree Management or business consulting experience Proven ability to turn ideas into action/pull strategy through to execution

Managing people and leading highly cross-functional teams Working in the biopharmaceutical industry Identifying and implementing operational improvements Leading and managing strategic initiatives Developing organizational culture in collaboration with key partners Leading, mentoring, and motivating teams in a matrixed environment Demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans Deep understanding of business strategy, metrics, financial analysis, and processes Excellent decision-making, communication and collaboration skills with proven cross-functional and multi-level relationship building skills Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including developing and delivering presentations to senior management and large groups Excellent organization and attention to detail An entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with extreme ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment; self-starter and proactive Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy Commitment to reflect FMI’s values #LI-Onsite
