is not available for this opportunity. Requisition #: 74418 The Role at a Glance We are excited to bring on a Relationship Management Consultant for our Local Market Account Management Team. In this role, you will join our Group Protection Distribution Team, supporting the Workplace Solutions organization in a work from home environment, unless located near one of our Lincoln offices. Background Details As a Relationship Management Consultant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and brokers within the 100 to 500 lives segment by supporting their overall group benefits plan administration needs. You will be accountable for providing dedicated service to an assigned caseload, offering a recommendable and consistent customer experience, identifying root causes to mitigate future problems and to enhance the overall customer experience through multiple methods of communication (i.e., email, phone, meetings, etc.). You will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, analyzing more complex issues and acting as an advocate on behalf of the customer to drive positive change. You will act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders. You will also consult, analyze, and deliver on more complex assignments and projects for the team. What you’ll be doing + You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned territory and products, assessing impacts, and collaborating with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. + You will manage blocks of business tied to key brokers who generate a high volume of questions tied to products, services, and capabilities of Lincoln Financial. Partners with internal stakeholders on trends and more complex service needs to ensure proper plan execution and delivery. You will also have the ability to present to internal and external audiences on products, services, service model and capabilities (i.e. finalist presentations). + You will develop and maintain an understanding of Lincoln’s products (such as life, disability, leave, statutory plans and voluntary benefits such as accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity), services (Employee Assistance, WellnessPath, Candidly, Perky, and overall Financial Wellness) and operational structure to enhance ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities as well as retain and improve in force clientele and broker relationships. + You will provide education, information, training, and advice on Lincoln’s products, services, processes and procedures to internal and external partners including Clients, Brokers and/or Plan Sponsor/Participants. You will consult on the advantages of different financial products and services. You will also build strong business and technical acumen to understand downstream impacts to process flows, plan design changes, etc. + You will build and maintain business relationships through effective communication via email, phone and in person with internal/external stakeholders in a customer centric and professional demeanor. You will develop, maintain, and execute more complex client relationship management plans that ensure clients’ overall service needs are satisfied and achieve the business, profitability, and retention objectives. + You will work through customer issues independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner ensuring resolution and delivery of high-quality customer service. + You will lead virtual meetings with clients/brokers showcasing our service model, web capabilities and self-service tools. + You will serve as a mentor to team members and resource to internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects/escalations for the assigned areas of responsibility. + You will develop a strong understanding of the Group Protection Enterprise and our partnership with Retirement Planning Services as a member of Workplace Solutions, including Common Clients, general product knowledge, and relationship building. + You will Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for the assigned areas of responsibility. You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned areas of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. What we’re looking for Must-have experience (Required): + 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s). + 3 – 5+ Years experience in relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. + Ability to work with other in a fast paced, team environment. + Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to determine best method of communication back to resolution. + Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while providing a positive customer experience. + Ability to partner and work well with other team members and stakeholders in the organization. + Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Nice-to have Experience (Preferred): + Ability to manage difficult conversations and provide consultative support during interactions. + Strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches. + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
