About This Role:
The Senior Director of StrategicFinance & Planning will lead the strategic finance and planningteam, and serve as a critical strategic partner to the ExecutiveTeam and collaborate closely with senior executives and the Chiefof Staff to drive long-term planning, evaluate revenue-generatingopportunities, and enhance decision-making across theorganization.
This role will focus on strategic finance aspects suchas long-term strategic planning, deals, collaborations, and otherhigh-impact initiatives that advance the company’s businessobjectives.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning & Analysis:
Partner with the Executive Team to develop and implementlong-term strategic plans. Provide financial modeling, scenario planning, and decisionsupport to assess strategic initiatives and growthopportunities. Develop and maintain frameworks for evaluating businessopportunities, product viability, and go-to-market strategies. Drive the evaluation of potential licensing deals,collaborations, and revenue-generating initiatives.
Deal Evaluation & Strategy:
Lead financial and strategic analysis for licensing agreements,partnerships, and other collaborations. Collaborate with business development, research, and externalstakeholders to structure deals that align with companyobjectives. Develop recommendations and present findings to the ExecutiveLeadership Team.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Lead a high-functioning strategic finance group, providingmentorship, coaching, and identifying developmentopportunities. Work closely with the Chief of Staff to ensure strategicinitiatives are aligned and effectively executed across theorganization. Partner with R D and Commercial to assess marketopportunities, product viability, and commercializationpotential. Align business capability planning with financial andoperational feasibility. Lead initiatives that bridge financial strategy with businessexecution, ensuring alignment across departments. Partner with business development to support negotiations andoptimize deal structures.
Financial Planning & Reporting:
Provide insights to guide resource allocation and investmentdecisions. Monitor progress against strategic goals and prepare reportsand presentations for the leadership team and externalstakeholders.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:
Conduct research and analysis to inform strategicdecision-making and identify new business opportunities. Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor activities,and regulatory developments relevant to the company’sstrategy.
Required Education & Experience:
8+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporatestrategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a relatedfield. Experience leading teams and driving financial planning,forecasting, and business analytics. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with theability to translate data into actionable insights. Experience working closely with R D, Commercial, orBusiness Development to align business and financialpriorities. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with theability to distill complex analyses into clearrecommendations. High learning agility, particularly in technical fields likebiotechnology, agronomics, or food innovation. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamicenvironment and drive alignment across teams. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
