VP, Kontoor Consumer & Marketplace Insights Job Summary Drive a holistic understanding of the consumer, shopper, retailer, region/channel, and competitive dynamics in order to facilitate data driven decision making by commercial teams via best-in-class research & analytical tools. This role will push Kontoor to champion the consumer at the core in our approach to commercial decision making across workstreams and cross functional teams while staying closely connected to business objectives and initiatives via insight integration into business strategy. This leader will organize their team and oversee work processes that will also facilitate business strategy development, seasonal assortment strategy planning, and innovation ideation in order to deliver enhanced productivity of existing assortments and visibility for product teams of unmet consumer needs. This role will empower evidence-based decisions making based on derived holistic insights, strategic & tactical guidance to all levels of marketing, sales, merchandising, design & innovation. Responsibilities Deliver actionable insights that create dramatic impact to Kontoor’s brands & business
Creates, curates, and sources the tools to drive insight synthesis and analysis to commercial teams
Monitors marketplace, trends, competitive activity to inform growth and OGSM strategic choices
Builds a global COE (center of excellence) for best-in-class research, commercial analytics and insight delivery
Builds team’s capabilities in advanced insights and analytics and stretches Kontoor to explore new territories for insights (predictive analysis, AI, CRM, etc…).
Attracts, motivates, and retains best-in-class insights team
Synthesizes learnings to inform Kontoor strategies and communicate learnings / “killer insights” at the senior executive level.
Partners with cross functional peers to design and deploy insight led learning plans across commercial functions and regions. Leadership Structured, logical thinker who is capable of casting vision for key actions necessary to synthesize and deliver critical business insights
Proven leader with strong project management skill set that is capable of organizing and delivering large analytical projects on a specified timeline.
Team coach that can advocate for the functional group, create strong organizational commitment across a diverse group of high functioning team members, and drive cross functional commercial organization engagement & integration with insights team.
Strong communicator that can succinctly yet elegantly deliver killer insights to senior executives that drive focus & attention against key opportunities for Kontoor business development. Requirements Minimum bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in consumer sciences / data analytics preferred.
Global experience a plus
