Full Time Position Summary:
The IT Business Application Analyst is responsible for supporting enterprise software applications used at the University’s main and extended campus sites. The Analyst serves as a laison between functional offices and technical personnel to translate business requirements to technical specifications and facilitates the implementation and utilization of technology solutions by determining business requirements and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, vendors, and other partners to ensure the outcome is valuable to the organization. The Analyst provides end-user support for the University’s Student Information System (SIS), as well as other enterprise software applications. Additional responsibilities include writing and modifying reports as well as working with users to provide solutions that may involve researching and solving complex technical problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret business needs and translate them into enterprise requirements and solutions using IT and business knowledge. Respond to user questions and find processes and/or software solutions to business issues. Ensure that IT solutions address academic/business unit goals and objectives. Responsible for technical end user support of ERP modules. Facilitate/coordinate resolution of issues associated with systems and services. Provide end-user training on specific software applications and processes. Develop and modify reports using database query language and various reporting tools. Research and solve complex software issues using best practices and other resources. Comply with and uphold organizational standards and procedures. Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, HIPAA, FERPA, and other state and federal mandates. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements. Incumbent will be provided a Remote Work Addendum that details the specifics of the flexible work arrangement if position will be remote.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Ellucian Colleague, UniData, and Entrinsik Informer reporting tools Experience working with higher education ERP systems desirable. Experience in higher education in the non-profit sector
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to quickly learn new technologies and use critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues related to software applications. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels. Comfortable and confident conducting presentations across multiple levels of an organization. Must be able to identify and recommend process improvements and document using Business Process Management/Modeling techniques. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Strong self-motivation skills and ability to work independently. Ability to properly prioritize and manage, multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines with attention to detail. Must be customer service-focused and team-oriented, with the ability to work collegially and collaboratively within an inclusive and diverse population. Must always maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to exercise independent judgement in stressful, complex and/or new situations. Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to work in a changing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other common business applications Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public. This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.
