  • We are hiring an skilled leader to drive modernization, innovation, and higher performance for the NC Division of Motor Vehicles.

In this strategic leadership role, you will

  • Serve as an advisor to our NCDMV Commissioner providing assistance in making modernization and operations improvement for NCDMV statewide
  • Ensure that strategic initiatives are developed and implemented for optimal staff performance and excellent customer service throughout the state
  • Develop long-term goals and strategies, evaluate the steps, and identifying challenges in reaching these goals
  • Oversee execution of strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Ensure that clear and consistent communications throughout NCDMV is maintained regarding strategic planning related to modernization
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and engagement
  • Exercise problem solving and foster a collaborative atmosphere for internal and external stakeholders.
  • What You Bring
  • Experience leading critical organizational change initiatives
  • Working knowledge of strategic planning implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to use problem solving skills to manage a diverse organization
  • Experience composing and presenting information to diverse audiences
  • Experience evaluating risk assessment for organizational process improvements.
  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, and
  • 3+ years experience, and
  • 2+ years of management experience in the public or private sector involving significant decision-making authority in the planning, organizing, and directing of operations; or
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.
