Description and Requirements
The Team The position sits within the newly consolidated Data and Analytics (D&A) organization supporting MetLife’s U.S. Business.

U.S. D&A

assists all business lines of MetLife’s U.S. business (about 2/3 of MetLife Global by earnings) with everything related to data, analytics, and data science, from data infrastructure, data governance, data engineering, data modeling, and data analysis to business intelligence, data science, and AI. The Role The Senior Business Planning & Strategy Consultant will assist in financial and budget planning for a 500-person organization with employees in various U.S. offices, two India offices, and several external consulting firms. You’ll join the U.S. Data & Analytics Operations team to assist planning and performance efforts that support strategic priorities. This role focuses on financial planning and agile delivery support in close collaboration with Finance. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Analysis Lead financial planning and forecasting for the D&A US portfolio
Partner with the Head of Operations to manage funding, capacity, and headcount planning
Track budgets, actuals, and variance; deliver insights to improve decision-making
Support agile planning cycles (quarterly/PI) by aligning funding, teams, and priorities
Maintain dashboards and status reports on delivery health and financial performance
Work with team leads to manage risks, dependencies, and resource shifts
Produce monthly financial reports, including detailed analysis of budget and forecast variances.
Oversee resource labor modules and manage annual planning processes.
Stakeholder Engagement Support the Head or Operations and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives.
Support vendor management, accrual processes, and capacity reporting initiatives.
Process Improvement and Strategy Identify and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce discrepancies, and improve efficiency.
Develop and execute resource request intake systems to optimize operations.
Leadership Responsibilities Support the Head of Operations with integration efforts for ADM financial operations and reporting structures.

Required Skills:

8+ years of overall experience.
4 – 6+ years of expertise in various project management methodologies, including scaled agile.
Experience in financial planning and budget management for a matrixed organization. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask between several projects.
Expert knowledge of business operations, planning, budgeting, re-engineering, and performance measures.

Preferred Skills:

Experience/certification in ITIL, Agile, Lean, and/or PMP methodologies. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or other related fields. SAFe/Agile Certification.
Location This position can be based at our Cary, NC, corporate headquarters in NYC, or the Bridgewater, NJ office. Currently, we are on a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.
The salary range for applicants for this position is $100,000 – $140,100.
