Accounting Consultant Peak Business Consultants, llc Rye, NH 03870

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Accounting Consultant, you will partner with various small business clients, and assist our Lead Consultants in refining business operations. You will collaborate with our Lead Consultants to comprehensively understand, record, and present financial information. This position will be on-site for the first 90 days. After 90 days there will be an opportunity to move to a hybrid work model. We are a DEI-positive company committed to creating an equitable and inclusive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with project management, financial analysis, and internal audits.
- Assist in the management of client budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and payroll processing.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving accounting support inquiries with a focus on providing a high level of customer service.

- The consistent upkeep of client financial processing on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensuring the provision of internal and external status updates, operational metrics, and service level reports.
- Resolving problems while following proper procedures and
- Investigating and managing issue resolution across functional areas to ensure delivery on time.
- Consult with clients on overall business strategies when appropriate and continually educating them on available services that would support their goals.
- Support maintenance of positive relationships with clients.
- Communicate proactively with the Lead Consultant to maintain accurate and complete documentation on the status of ongoing implementations and problems.
- Manager and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and key timelines with guidance from the Lead Consultant.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Lead Consultant to manage client expectations of work timelines and issues.
- Operate with minimal supervision in day-to-day client processing to maintain alignment on tasks, deadlines, and client communication.
- Be a resource and mentor to support staff when appropriate.
- Participating in team development workshops.
- Accurately use Peak task management (Monday’s) and continually review to assure accuracy and completeness of current job duties.
- Use workflow system (OneNote/Teams) to maintain communication with team.
- Follow security protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to manage multiple processing tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and resourceful style; high integrity and sound judgement.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to working with clients.
- Skilled in using diverse technology platforms to manage internal and external processes and maintain client relationships, including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, task management systems, and industry-specific processing systems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Accounting Degree
- Proficient in QUICKBOOKS and
QUICKBOOKS
on-line
- Experience with Payroll
- Ability to manage across industries.
- Proficiency in EXCEL including pivot tables
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the phone
