Global Financial Firm located in Jersey City, NJ has animmediate contract opportunity for an experienced Market RiskBusiness Analyst “This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. Youwill need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iPhonefor remote access into the client systems during remote work. Wewill be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the teamrequirement. Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to alloffers.

$67 .00 – $80 .00 Negotiable based uponyears of experience Market Risk Senior Business Analyst This rolewill be part of the Market Risk Technology Team. This team isresponsible for delivering market risk technology and softwaresolutions for Client s First and Second Line of Defense. Softwaresolutions from this group include high-throughput feed processingengines to process factor sensitivities and market data,high-performance pricing calculation engines to calculate Value atRisk (VaR), Stress Testing and limit utilization calculations, andhigh-availability big data lakes for sharing risk metrics andstress results with Front Office, Risk, and Finance organizations.
Roles in this team will provide candidates with a uniqueopportunity to work on best-in-class business and technologysolutions for Front Office and Back Office Risk Management.
Responsibilities:
Supports development and execution of strategicinitiatives in collaboration with internal and externalstakeholders including product enhancements; Initiative areas caninclude intake, requirements, design, development, testing,simulation, signoffs, production, and post-implementationactivities. Identify business requirements arising from RiskManagers or related teams and for correct implementation in theMarket Risk Technology infrastructure. Elicit, validate, anddocument systems requirements in either business requirementdocuments or user and feature stories depending on the systemsdevelopment life cycle in use by the development teams. Breaks downstrategic problems, and analyses data and information to provideinsights and recommendations. Provide business analysis documentsdescribing functionalities, risk methodologies, infrastructureaspects, business workflows, and operating models. Provides inputinto the planning and implementation of ongoing operationalprograms in support of the risk systems management.
Leads/participates in the design, implementation, and management ofcore business/group processes. Cover current and target stateanalysis, define testcases and success criteria. Support theTesting Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios andconditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested. Buildschange management plans of varying scope and type; leads orparticipates in a variety of change management activities includingreadiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution,evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives. Create key managementpresentations for various audiences that articulates the strategicinitiatives and accomplishments. Build strong relations withvarious partner groups and stakeholders, including Market RiskManagers, Risk Control, Risk Reporting, Technology, etc. Influenceor convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes. Qualifications andSkills 12 years of experience as a lead business analyst in thefinancial services industry. In-depth knowledge of Market Riskconcepts such as Stress Testing, Value at Risk (VaR), capitalcalculation. Ability to understand risk models and statisticalconcepts and interact with developers as partners to driveimprovements in Stress Testing, Value at Risk (VaR), and capitalcalculations. Excellent analytical, technical, and/or statisticalskills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data.
Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and data management. Knowledge ofadditional programming languages a plus. Experience in managingrisks holistically, covering areas such as systems, data, models,controls, governance, and analytics. Self-motivated,results-oriented, with the ability to function effectively withmultiple deadlines and work within a team environment. Excellentpeople and relationship management skills with the ability toinfluence others and foster a sense of collaboration. Ability instrategic thinking and the ability to frame business problemsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferred Industry qualifications such as CFA, FRMwill be a plus
