//www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine The Director, Portfolio Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives that enable accelerated organizational growth, especially as we expand our portfolio. Responsibilities include shaping strategies that enable the franchise to maximize our portfolio, supporting business planning activities for pipeline assets, and driving strategic decision-making through processes such as business planning and long-range financial planning (LRFP). Additionally, the Director will work closely with the VP of Marketing, leading franchise-level strategic initiatives, elevating and managing performance reporting, and supporting commercial team meetings and projects. This individual will partner with a cross-functional team of internal and customer facing-team leaders across Marketing, Brand, Sales, Medical, Market Access, New Products, et al., to build and implement aligned and cohesive strategies. The core responsibilities are as follows: Develop strategies to support commercialization of new assets, which could include partnering with the New Products team in business planning efforts for pipeline assets, supporting integration of new assets within existing promotional team structures, and other related activities Drive strategic decision-making, portfolio optimization and alignment related to core processes, e.g., business planning, LRFP, etc. Work directly with the VP of Marketing on strategic projects and portfolio management programs, including weekly and monthly performance management, innovation initiatives, and other cross-functional programs This individual will report directly into the Vice President, Marketing. This is not an exhaustive, comprehensive list of job functions and the candidate may perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or other related advanced degree strongly preferred 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industry in business and/or strategy roles, or other relevant professional experience, including development and execution of innovative strategic initiatives, is required Strong people management and leadership experience are required Demonstrated understanding of key industry trends and ability to develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition and maximize patient outcomes are required Demonstrated experience creating and leading large matrixed teams to superior outcomes is required; ability to work collaboratively across diverse, cross-functional teams is required Experience in engaging Senior Management is required Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of business results, a sense of urgency and big picture orientation with attention to detail. Must be innovative, proactive, and strong analytically with excellent overall business acumen Must demonstrate excellent communication and influence skills This position will be based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 25% domestic travel. Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
