Our mission is to support women—especially from underrepresented and underserved communities—in launching and growing their businesses. We provide customized training, expert business advising, mentorship, and access to capital to help women build thriving enterprises and achieve economic independence. Position Summary WVF is expanding its entrepreneur training and business counseling programs and seeking a dynamic Senior Trainer / Business Advisor to lead this transformation. This is a leadership role for a strategic, hands-on professional who thrives in curriculum development, volunteer management, and direct client engagement. You will shape and scale WVF’s training services to better meet the evolving needs of women entrepreneurs—while recruiting and coaching a growing team of volunteer trainers to expand our reach. Program Development & Curriculum Leadership

  • Oversee the enhancement of WVF’s entrepreneur training curriculum, including tools such as worksheets, exercises, and multimedia content.
  • Ensure content consistency and quality across sessions, aligning with WVF’s business counseling services and client progression.
  • Design modular training paths that support clients at all business stages—from ideation to scale. Trainer Development & Facilitation
  • Develop facilitator guides and standardized materials to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction.
  • Mentor internal and volunteer trainers, offering feedback on facilitation and presentation techniques.
  • Deliver training sessions as needed to model best practices and fill capacity gaps.
  • Assign appropriate trainers to new clients and sessions based on needs and expertise. Volunteer Program Development
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of qualified volunteer trainers and advisors.
  • Create training, engagement, and retention strategies for volunteers aligned with WVF’s mission.
  • Build community among volunteers to foster collaboration, quality assurance, and program continuity.
  • Monitor volunteer performance and ensure effective delivery of training sessions. Client Assessment & Diagnostic Tools
  • Update and implement diagnostic tools to assess client business readiness and entrepreneurial capacity.
  • Develop methodologies for matching clients with relevant training and advising pathways.
  • Track and evaluate client progress over time to inform continuous improvement and outcome reporting. Business Advising & Client Support
  • Provide one-on-one business advising to clients in areas such as:
  • Marketing strategy and customer acquisition
  • Sales and networking
  • Financial planning and operations
  • Business model development and execution
  • Guide clients in developing action plans and using tools to monitor progress toward goals. Program Launch & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Lead the commercial launch of new training and counseling packages.
  • Collaborate with sales, program, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive rollout.
  • Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to refine offerings and expand impact. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering training programs, preferably for entrepreneurs or small business owners.
  • Strong experience managing or working with volunteers in a mission-driven setting.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, group dynamics, and instructional design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital training tools and platforms.
  • Passionate about women’s economic empowerment and creating opportunity in underserved communities.
