Position Summary:
The Corporate Strategy Associate will be an integral member of the Corporate Strategy team under the Global Head of Corporate Strategy, who sits on Cambridge’s Leadership Team and reports to the CEO. The Corporate Strategy team works with the CEO and Leadership Team to set the strategic direction for the firm and execute its strategic initiatives. The team also works with senior leaders to address other critical business projects and problems related to a variety of topics including growth, efficiency, competitive intelligence, organizational structure, and operations, among others. In addition, the team manages the firm’s inorganic activities by evaluating M&A, strategic investments, strategic partnerships, and team lift-outs. Our ideal candidate is talented at both analytical and conceptual problem solving, has a balance of both strategic thinking and detail-orientation, can work on multiple projects simultaneously, can communicate clearly and concisely with senior leaders, and is energized by helping organizations grow and operate effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop strategies and insights to address top opportunities and challenges for the business Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses Analyze operational and financial data Conduct internal and external interviews with stakeholders Perform competitor/industry research Identify implications of data and analysis to arrive at recommendations Develop concise communications and presentations for senior management Work collaboratively with team members and partners throughout the firm
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree MBA or advanced business degree from a top-tier program attractive but not required 2-3 years of experience at either a premier financial services firm (ideally in a strategy function) or a top management consulting firm (ideally with financial services industry experience) Strong experience solving analytical and conceptual problems Strong client management and executive-level communication skills, including excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills Excellent and efficient Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience with M&A transaction due diligence attractive but not required The base salary range for this role is $114,400-$153,300 In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
