Position Summary:

This position requires a strategic and analytical person to lead the planning, development, and execution of product strategies that align with company goals and market demands. This cross-functional role combines data analysis, creative problem-solving, and logistical planning to develop and introduce cost-effective, innovative, and high-quality products. The person in this position will be a critical thinker with a passion for product research, market analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Reports to: CEO
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Planning & Development
  • Plans and develops product specifications, protocols, and logistical frameworks to support the introduction of new and cost-effective products.

Creates and presents new product concepts, design alternatives, and prototype ideas based on customer needs, market trends, and cost-benefit analysis. Reviews and analyzes assigned product lines to ensure overall acceptability, standardization, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment. Recommends improvements or replacements for underperforming SKUs and identifies opportunities for expansion or consolidation.

  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis
  • Conducts ongoing market assessments and competitive product benchmarking to identify trends, gaps, and strategic opportunities. Collaborates with the Marketing Manager and Sales team to assess customer needs and market positioning.
  • Strategic & Financial Planning
  • Formulates and implements product strategies contributing to revenue growth, brand strength, and margin improvement. Develops strategic and operating plans, aligning with company goals and KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution of product strategy. Leads product presentations, sales support materials, trials, launch logistics, and procurement coordination.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of product launches and promotional campaigns. Provides regular and ad hoc reports on product success metrics, sales trends, market response, and profitability.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product development, product analysis, merchandising, or strategic planning.

Proven ability to evaluate product lines, conduct financial and market analyses, and develop product roadmaps. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools; familiarity with ERP or PLM systems is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interface effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, or design-driven industries.

Background in or exposure to supply chain/logistics or vendor sourcing. Strong presentation skills for delivering business cases to leadership or clients. $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
