DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in optimizing our operations to foster strong collaboration with key stakeholders, including Insurers/Carriers, Brokers, and Assisters. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving health insurance outcomes for Pennsylvanians whose needs are not met by other minimum essential coverage, ensuring the organization effectively achieves its mission.
This position serves as a primary contact for assisters and brokers, resolving issues and managing their training and certification processes. This role also coordinates meetings and develops materials for insurers/carriers, assists in creating educational resources for all stakeholders, and maintains the Pennie Broker and Assister SharePoint site. Furthermore, the analyst supports the monitoring of Contact Center vendor performance, participates in complex issue resolution, aids insurer/carrier processes, manages key partner-impacting procedures, analyzes and presents reports, and stays informed on relevant ACA regulations, all while contributing to team projects and performing other assigned duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Periodic travel in-state and out-of-state may be required.

Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary:

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $70,005.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, and implementing customer-facing procedures, policies, and directives; and
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, healthcare administration, operations management, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience).

Additional Requirements:

You must have experience working in the health insurance industry. You must reside in or be willing to relocate to Pennsylvania and maintain residency for the entirety of your employment with the agency. You must be able to perform all essential job functions
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and presentation skills Experience with Affordable Care Act (ACA) federal- or state-based exchanges
