AgiosPharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic AssociateDirector/Director, Global Forecasting, to join our growingCommercial Operations and Analytics team. We want someone who caresabout this important work, and who’s driven to connect to ourmission of helping these patient communities. The AssociateDirector/Director, Global Forecasting will be responsible forapplying industry-best practices to build and lead Agiosforecasting tools and processes and act as a strategicthought-partner to various Agios stakeholders including Commercial,Finance, Corporate Strategy, Commercial Supply, and BusinessDevelopment. This role supports Agios’ pipeline and in-lineportfolio as well as long-range planning and business developmentassessments. The individual must be a strong leader,well-organized, strategic-minded, and detail-oriented withexcellent written and verbal communication skills. Remotecandidates are welcome to apply!
What you will do:
Build, update,and maintain the operational unit-based forecasting models forportfolio including scenario planning and risk assessments, leadforecast and projection efforts for multiple launches Collaboratewith internal stakeholders to establish final forecastrecommendations, outline latest estimates, and understandperformance; articulate/document assumptions andrisks/opportunities Manage the development of global long-rangeforecasting models for the portfolio in collaboration with internalstakeholders Ensure appropriate integration of insights fromin-market performance, competitive landscape, market research, andanalyst reports into forecast through proactive cross-functionalengagement Analyze, evaluate, and recommend most appropriatetechniques to use for developing a forecast- epidemiology, demandstudy, or analog based; own and evolve robust forecasting bestpractices Guide the design of required secondary analytics ≺imary market research studies to validate forecast assumptions,architecture, and patient populations Partner with the BusinessDevelopment and Corporate Strategy to support the valuation ofpotential business development opportunities What you bring: 6-8years minimum of relevant business experience in market research,forecasting, strategic planning and/or management consulting;previous biotech industry experience in marketing, sales, finance,or business analytics preferred Expertise required in buildingdynamic forecast models in Excel as well as analytical /quantitative data analytics skills Strong knowledge of secondarydata sources, including sales, specialty pharmacy, promotional &marketing, longitudinal patient, & payer data; experience workingwith commercial data in biotech industry preferred Provenexperience presenting to and engaging with senior leadership,including accountability for generating, presenting, defending, andmaintaining forecasts of products and markets with a high degree ofprecision and insight Experience in rare / genetically defineddiseases is strongly desired, including in-line and pipelineproducts Well organized, analytical, creative, strong strategicthinker; ability to challenge internal assumptions and go beyondthe “obvious” answer Experience managing outside vendors to meetproject timelines in support of key organizational deliverablesBachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred Concerned that you don’tcheck off every box in the requirements listed above? Work location for this role is based onemployees individual preference. This role has the ability to beeither remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters.
Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per weekonsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutabledistance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees workentirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/meetings. Thecurrent base salary range for this position at the AssociateDirector is expected to be between $149,069 and $223,604 annualizedand the current base salary range for this position at the Directorlevel is expected to be between $178,203 and $267,305 annualized;final salary will be determined based on various factors including,but not limited to, years of relevant experience, job knowledge,skills and proficiency, degree/education, and internal comparators.
