Join our team as a BEP Consultant and play a key role in supporting Blind Licensed Vendors (BLVs) within the Business Enterprise Program (BEP). As a BEP Consultant, you’ll ensure that vending facilities operated by BLVs comply with the Randolph-Sheppard Act and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. You’ll work closely with BLVs, property managers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and foster effective communication. Your expertise will help drive operational success, from the bid selection process to managing equipment inventory and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections of assigned vending facilities to ensure compliance with the Randolph-Sheppard Act and all applicable regulations. Provide guidance and coaching to Blind Licensed Vendors, ensuring they understand and complete required reports accurately. Serve as a liaison between BLVs, property managers, and vendors/suppliers to promote effective communication and operational efficiency. Participate in bid selection panels, ensuring impartiality and fairness in the process. Manage equipment inventory for new and transitioning facilities and perform annual inventories. Assess potential new vending locations and complete site surveys to evaluate their suitability. Maintain accurate records in the case management system and ensure all documentation is up to date. Stay informed on program updates by attending quarterly and annual BEP meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor’s degree and professional experience in Business Management, Business Development, or a related field. Four years of relevant experience may substitute the required bachelor’s degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing in the food service industry.
