Position Summary:
Bolt Farm Treehouse creates innovative, nature-inspired luxury wellness retreats. We seek a passionate Management Consultant for a temporary, project-based role to review our construction operations. You will provide advisory services to optimize engineering, design, and project efficiency, delivering strategic reports to our founders for high-quality treehouse builds. Key Responsibilities:
Audit construction workflows , including prefabricated wall/roof systems, screw pile/concrete pier foundations, and deck systems, to recommend efficiency and scalability improvements. Analyze engineering designs and construction phases (pre-construction, foundation, framing, interior, exterior) to suggest strategies for better quality, faster timelines, and lower costs. Deliver clear reports and presentations to founders with actionable recommendations for streamlined timelines, cost-effective materials, and robust construction systems. Advise on effectively using Buildertrend for schedule enforcement , progress tracking, and documentation to ensure seamless project oversight. Provide guidance to the hiring manager and founders on team structuring, including recruitment and training strategies for a lean construction crew , without direct hiring or supervision. Share expertise on best practices for construction engineering, design efficiency, and process optimization, tailored to treehouse and luxury retreat builds. Deliver long term recommendations in a temporary, advisory capacity, for direct implementation by our production team and project managers.
Key Deliverables:
Complete audit of construction workflows and provide an optimization plan . Recommend project timeline structures and scheduling tools via Buildertrend for simultaneous builds (e.g., operations buildings, treehouse projects). Establish benchmarks for progress, cost savings, and quality improvements.
Key Performance Indicators:
Action plan for the team to achieve 20% improvement in construction workflow efficiency. Create a project SOP to ensure 95% defect-free project completions. Target 1 0% cost reduction through optimized materials, labor, and logistics.
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of experience as a management consultant or in construction engineering, design, or project efficiency, with proven transformative recommendations. Passion for innovative construction , especially modular or unique builds like treehouses or prefabricated structures. Expertise in analyzing construction challenges and c reating practical, high-impact solutions. Strong ability to produce strategic reports and presentations for visionary leaders like our founders. Commitment to a temporary, advisory role without on-site operations or team supervision.
Additional Requirements:
Project-based, temporary role starting April 22, 2025 , lasting 1-2 years, to deliver strategic construction insights and an outline for future projects. Work as an independent contractor reporting to the Founder & CEO. Advisory role with no daily construction operations , staff management, or implementation tasks. Deliver recommendations and reports to founders for internal team action. Flexible availability, including potential evenings/weekends, for project milestones.
