Position Summary:
Responsible for all purchasing management activities relating to support Procurement and Purchasing Division in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
Track, update and report supplier’s part information using Excel, Access, and SAP
Prepare periodic summary reports for Senior Manager
Maintain confidential data
Pricing status vs. targets, etc.
Support yearly cost reduction activities.
Monitor supplier business alignment with HMMA
Work closely with buyers to gain access to the latest required information.
Implement best practices related to purchasing data collection and distribution.
Write, (seek consensus and trains others) basic policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation consistent with corporate vision.
Plan, organize, track, and disseminate information related to production part and transportation suppliers.
Participate in and conducts purchasing related internal meetings.
Implement policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation consistent with corporate vision.
Responsible for VAATZ database interaction.
Accountable for NAFTA and AALA calculations.
Prepare and monitors Procurement and Purchasing budget.
Participate in purchasing related internal meetings, including making presentations to senior management.
Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.
Provide bilingual services including written translations (including daily, weekly, monthly reports) and interactive translation for verbal conversations and
meetings; review finished materials for completeness, accuracy, format, and appropriate English or Korean language usage.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
System (SMS) requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
Related Experience:
3 – 5 years job related experience preferred.
College graduate or minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. OEM or parts
components supplier experience preferred. Skills /
Knowledge:
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access
SAP
Bilingual – ability to speak, read, and write Korean and English fluently
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
