Temporary Junior Buyer Bauer, Inc. Bristol, CT 06010 POSITION SUMMARY The Temporary Junior Buyer is responsible for the generation and follow-up of vendor quotes and purchase orders. This position will work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inventory departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

includes, but not limited to: Generation and follow up of purchase orders for assemblies and raw material/metal supplies Maintain standard pricing in ERP system (Visual, a plus) Procurement of all materials for custom assemblies and raw material/metal supplies Expedite purchased materials as required, ensuring materials are delivered on time Negotiate and maintain relationships with current vendors Develop new sources to support business needs Return and/or replace purchased materials not meeting Bauer specifications and standards Maintain Vendor and Inventory masters in

ERP QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Intense, clear focus and a strong desire to succeed Ability to analyze, challenge and change processes, as needed, to create a more efficient and positive environment and culture Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong foundation in PC skills; Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases, MRP/ERP systems (Visual ERP system knowledge a plus)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or higher, or 1-2 years of related experience in a purchasing position 1-2 years of related experience in a Manufacturing Company is preferred General knowledge of hydraulic and electro-mechanical devices is preferred
